American TV reality star Kim Kardashian had come under intense attack at Twitter for her take on the ongoing Gaza conflict. She received volley of jibes on micro-blogging site, ranging from requests to delete her controversial tweets to "death threats. "

Kardashian kicked off the controversy when she tweeted: "Praying for everyone in Israel". Following the faux pas, she again took to the Twitter but this time sought to be diplomatic that fell flat in pacifying the enraged people. "And praying for everyone in Palestine and across the world!" she said to put the lid on what seemed to be a brewing controversy.

Noting that her tweets were whipping up tensions on her part, Kardashian deleted both the tweets on Gaza issue. However, her deleted posts were available at Twitchy.com, which archives deleted tweets.

Some politely suggested Kardashian to take off the tweets from her wall, while many couldn't help but blasted the American socialite. Below are some of the responses:

- Praying for everyone in Israel" You are a disgrace to your people and your ancestors, educate yourself.

- People like you are the reason I want to die *Palestine

- Further enhancing your reputation as a dumb porn star...

- pls delete thsi tweet please Kim

-Praying for everyone in Israel" Kill yourself!!

-You know nothing about #Humanity Die in HELL !

Besides deleting her tweets, the television star also issued an apology over the gaffe.

"I want to own up to and explain that earlier today I sent out two tweets about saying prayers for the people in Palestine and Israel and after hearing from my followers, I decided to take down the tweets because I realized that some people were offended and hurt by what I said, and for that I apologize. I should have pointed out my intentions behind these tweets when I posted them. The fact is that regardless of religion and political beliefs, there are countless innocent people involved who didn't choose this, and I pray for all of them and also for a resolution. I also pray for all the other people around the world who are caught in similar crossfires."

Her subsequent deleting of tweets and tendering an apology hardly helped Kardashian to come over the situation. However, she fell back to her routine tweeting about the dates and fashion, in order to stave off the tension.
