Even though the official release date for the highly anticipated, free to play gaming event, The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited is set for June 9, but now lucky gamers can get in on a public, closed Beta for the title this week! Announced this week, this gameplay test from developers, Bethesda will be available without a subscription on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and PC players will be able to get some gameplay in this week. Check out more news on this Beta announcement below.

According to IGN, this new Beta test will run from tomorrow, April 23 at 10am EST to April 27 at 10 am EST. You can expect an invite, if you're lucky, to have already been sent out, or perhaps sent out later today. We suggest you keep checking your Inbox for a pass code
Bethesda also pointed out what to expect from this new Beta and the upcoming release of the title. For instance, your character will be wiped after this Beta, so you cannot carry it over into the live version.
"We will be wiping all characters from the ESOTU console beta before the official worldwide launch on June 9th," the studio rote. "If you are eligible for the PC/Mac to PS4 and Xbox One transfer, your characters will be waiting for you on the PS4 and Xbox One megaservers at launch. Otherwise, you will be creating new characters on launch day."
Plus, we learned that this Beta won't be a cross-platform event.
"PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will have their own megaservers-one for North America and one for Europe, respectively," Bethesda said. "For the beta (and at launch), you will be able to choose which one you want to play on. Characters are unique per megaserver."
