They've missed three weeks of play, but the Fire are saying they're ready for tonight's challenge, according to coach Frank Yallop.

"It's been a weird three weeks, but I'm really pleased with the practices and the spirit we've got," the manager told the media this week. "We're hoping we come out tomorrow and we play well and win."

When addressing the fact that NYC FC is an expansion team, the coach stated: "We're nearly an expansion team with all the changes we've made. We've got a bunch of guys that are brand new as well. So that's never an excuse for any team to say that. They've spent a lot of money. They've had a year to set it up. The days of that are gone. They're ready to go. They've played pretty well this year, not had the results."
