Miley Cyrus New Haircut: Singer Shaves Her Head...Almost [PHOTO]

Miley Cyrus debuted a shorter haircut in New York City on Monday. The singer and actress shaved both sides of her head leaving only short blonde hair on the top.

Cyrus, who is engaged to Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, posted a picture of her new haircut on Twitter but has not commented on her new look.

Cyrus was also spotted with her new look yesterday as she headed to the Ambassador Theater in New York City, according to Us Weekly.

When Cyrus first chopped her hair in August and drastically changed her image, she sparked a media frenzy with fans commenting about her new look on social media.

Last week on the Ellen DeGeneres show, Cyrus addressed her new look.

"When you wake up, your hair is done. It's so easy," Cyrus told Ellen. "And the dirtier it is, the more I like it, so it's great. Showering has cut down, I'm saving water... This is more than a fashion statement; it's eco-friendly."

Cyrus tweeted Monday about her fans storming her NYC hotel.

"What a dope morning. So many fans outside my hotel this a.m. in NYC. If there's this much chaos NOW imagine when I drop this record! #ohsnap," she wrote.
