One mother in Baltimore is being praised for beating her son's butt in broad daylight in front of news cameras after she found out he was rioting on Monday. In the video, the unknown woman in yellow was praised by thousands for getting her son in check as he tried to go against the police in the Baltimore riots that got out of hand when young men and women started throwing anything they could find at the cops.
The city of Baltimore was lit on fire following the funeral of 25-year-old Freddie Gray, who died from a severe spinal cord injury after police arrested him.
After this mother took action to get her own son off the streets, many viewers referred to her as the "mother of the year."

According to Madame Noire, the unknown mother was praised by the Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony Batts.
"To see that it turned into all this violence and destruction, I am appalled," Richard Shipley, Gray's stepfather, told WTVR.
"I want y'all to get justice for my son, but don't do it like this here," Gray's mother Gloria Darden added.
"I don't think that's for Freddie," his twin sister Fredericka Gray told reporters. "I think the violence is wrong."
