Miley Cyrus Haircut: Liam Hemsworth Encourages Fiancée to go Even Shorter with Funky Blonde Birthday Buzz Cut [PHOTO]

In honor of her upcoming 20th birthday (Friday, Nov. 23) pop star Miley Cyrus has chopped her funky blonde pixie do' even shorter! And according to reports, fiancé Liam Hemsworth loves how the buzz cut accentuates Cyrus' beautiful face, so the shorter the better! So what do Mstarz fans think of the "Party in the U.S.A." songstress' even more chopped-up look?

Cyrus stepped out in NYC earlier this week sporting the buzzed-up do', and at this point it looks like fans and paparazzi have warmed up to the starlet's funkier style. "The Last Song" actress first debuted the uber short haircut back in August on Twitter, and the pictures soon went viral. Some loved it, some hated, but "Miley Cyrus' hairstyle 2012" remained a hot trending topic on several popular gossip sites for weeks.

And what does "Hunger Games" hubby Hemsworth have to say about his "Can't Be Tamed" fiancee's revamped platinum locks (or lack thereof)? He loves it! At least according to an inside source close to the young couple who told RadarOnline (and no, Cyrus isn't going crazy or having a public Britney Spears-esque meltdown):

"He loves that she's become so daring with her looks and thinks Miley looks great with an edgier hairstyle... When Miley told him she was thinking of cutting it, Liam immediately told her to go for it. He thinks she's got such a pretty face and that short hair makes her eyes look even more beautiful... She realizes that people will speculate that she is perhaps rebelling, or going mad, but she's just a young girl trying something different.... Miley's not gone crazy, she's just trying something new."
