According to reports, Columbian songstress Shakira is being sued by her ex-boyfriend Antonio de la Rua for 63 million pounds (over a whopping $100 million) for unpaid earnings. Rua claims that the pregnant "Whenever, Wherever" singer failed to share the ex-couple's business profits with him. Back when the duo were together (they split in 2010 after over a decade-long romance), Shakira supposedly allowed Rua to take over a large portion of responsibility for her Shakira brand. Now Rua is calling foul, claiming the songstress has failed to uphold her promise to continue sharing profits even after their romantic fall-out.

Following their public breakup, Shakira and Rua (a lawyer and oldest son of former Argentine president, Fernando de la Rua) promised to remain close friends and business associates. But apparently the Grammy Award-winning songstress currently isn't holding up to that part of the deal.

Rua recently filed the complaint in a Manhattan court, claiming that the singer asked him to take over the business behind her Shakira brand and to help with the financial aspect of things. He then went on to secure the pop star a lucrative deal with the popular tour promoter Live Nation (an agreement supposedly worth around 188 million pounds, or almost $300 million). Rua insists that Shakira did not share the large profits from her brand like promised -their business partnership lasted for a year following their separation and he was fired in 2011.

Meanwhile, Shakira is currently dating Spanish soccer star Gerard Piqué - the two are expecting a baby boy sometime in the spring. Read more on that here.
