Hector "Macho" Camacho Brain Dead, Puerto Rican Boxer Shot In The Face Outside Of Bar, 10 Bags Of Cocaine Found At Scene

Hector "Macho" Camacho has been declared brain dead after being shot in the face Tuesday night outside a bar. Although, family members have disagreed amongst each other whether or not to take the boxer off life support, his father spoke with Dr. Ernesto Torres and has agreed to take him off life support.

Torres who is the director of the Centro Medico trauma center in San Juan said, "We have done everything we could." He added, "We have to tell the people of Puerto Rico and the entire world that Macho Camacho has died, he is brain dead."

Camacho's mother and sisters all oppose their father's decision of taking him off life support and want to spend a little more time with the boxer and wait until his brother's arrival. 

Ismael Leandry, friend and former manager said, "Let's remember him as a good man." He continued, "He was a good father, a good son." The 50-year-old was outside a bar in his Ford Mustang  with his friend 49-year-old Adrian Mojica Moreno when they were both shot and Moreno was instantly killed. Alex Diaz, a police spokesman said officers found nine small bags of cocaine on his friend, and another bag open in the vehicle. 

Camacho had issues with the law and drugs in the past and was sentenced to seven years in prison in 2007 after burglarizing computer store. Upon his arrest in 2005 police found ecstasy on him.
