Nicki Minaj was denied entry at her album release party. The rapper was celebrating the release of her new album, "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded The Re-Up" when her and her 25-people entourage were denied at the door by police due to capacity restraints.
One Source told RadarOnline, "Nicki turned up to the club with about 25 people at 3:30am. She wanted to celebrate with her fans, but she was denied entry at the door by the police because they said the venue was at capacity and there was nothing they could do to accommodate her." The American Idol judge held her shindig at the New York nightclub Greenhouse, which was sponsored by Smirnoff on Tuesday night. The "Freedom" singer was set to make an appearance for her "Barbz" alongside rapper Fabulous and Flo Rida.
The 29-year-old rapper wasn't too pleased about being denied access to her own party. Countless times the rapper expressed how much she adore her fans, which she nicknamed "Barbz". Insiders say once Minaj found out the news, "Nicki wasn't happy about it, so she and her group just left." Obviously letting her fans down, Minaj hasn't been shown in the greatest light, especially after the Minaj and Mariah Carey beef and her alleged threats that she and American Idol Producers deny she never threatened anyone with a gun.
Another celebrity that was recently denied access to a New York club was rapper Meek Mill. The rapper was in the Meatpacking District around 2 a.m. when he was denied entry at club Tenjune, he tweeted, "I don't got no love for these clubs that discriminate against a certain race! [Bleep] you . . . u won't get these racks!"
