Kate Mara, the Fantastic Four's new Sue Storm, says that she was surprised at all the negativity surrounding the new movie. According to her, she didn't understand how people could be so angry over the reboot before any trailers came out.
"I was very surprised at first, before any trailers were out, how negative people were about it without seeing anything," Mara said. "Then, that very quickly changed when we actually showed some footage," she said. "So that was a nice thing."

The Fantastic Four movie will be hitting theaters on August 8. It might not be until the film's release where any apprehension will be put to rest.
It seems that instability and the Fantastic Four go hand in hand these days though. This isn't something just subjected to the film version of it as the comic book version is seeing it too because as of Fantastic Four #645, the Thing, Johnny Storm and Mr. and Mrs. Fantastic's longstanding partnership has come to an end.
In the issue, the Fantastic Four do battle on the streets of New York with Psycho Man and were joined by the Avengers from the Heroes Reborn universe and their rivals turned allies the Frightful Four. At the end of a battle they naturally won, Johnny Storm regained his torch powers that he lost at some point and the team won back the adoration of the public after having a tarnished reputation for years.
With the Fantastic Four finished for now the team looks like they'll be going in different directions. Susan Storm joined SHIELD, Johnny Storm is a part of the Inhumans, Mr. Fantastic will be involved with the Secret Wars story and you'd have to think that the Thing is going to continue working with the Avengers as he always has.
