There is only one episode left for Season 4 of Person of Interest on CBS. In Episode 22, as the battle for supremacy between two Artificial Intelligences escalates, will Finch (Michael Emerson) and Reese (Jim Caviezel) survive the wreckage from the explosive confrontation between The Machine and Samaritan?
As we previously mentioned, the fourth season started with Team Machine on the run. With new identities, the group had to lay low or else they would be detected by Samaritan's radar. But all things changed during the recent trilogy, which left Shaw (Shahi) taken prisoner by the mysterious Greer. Samaritan even sent in its avatar to deliver a message to the President of the United States.
In our previous recap, the Empire actress came back from the dead as fan favorite NYPD detective Joss Carter. Carter appeared in flashbacks (hallucinations?) as Reese attempted to solve one of her unsolved cases. Meanwhile, Root, Finch, and Fusco realized Dominic and Elias are in a violent turf war, leaving a trail of dead bodies.
In our recent recap, Team Machine found themselves in two different wars. Reese and Elias (Enrico Colantoni) were both captured by rival, Dominic (Winston Duke). Root (Amy Acker) was too late to stop Samaritan's agents as they moved Shaw (Sarah Shahi), possibly willingly, to a different location. In order to save Root and Finch, the Machine gave up its location while Control discovered Samaritan's "correction" is about to begin.
Check out what Twitter had to say about Shaw's return(?) in Asylum:
In an interview with TV Line, POI co-showrunner Jonah Nolan, teases just how big the season finale with be, "We always aim to outdo ourselves." The season finale entitled, YHWH, is said to be "pretty extraordinary."
Check out Irrelevant here:
The Memento screenwriter adds that Team Machine will have to rally together, even though they are separated by their predicaments, "Yes but in the way that you rally as the f-king world explodes into a billion pieces around you, and you cling to the wreckage."
Actor Kevin Chapman responds, "The finale's just remarkable. The audience will be blown away by some of what we're able to pull off!"
Person of Interest continues one more Tuesday at 10pm on CBS.
