Anne Hathaway Les Miserables Haircut, 'I Look Like My Gay Brother': Obsession To Sheds 25- Pounds To Look Like Disease-Stricken Fantine

Anne Hathaway's new buzz cut is creating a new buzz. The "Les Miserables" star has been in the news a lot theses days in regards to her new film which may grant the "Princess Diaries actress a Oscar nod. Hathaway has cut her luscious locks to look like her character Fantine, but she admitted, "When I eventually looked in the mirror I just thought I looked like my gay brother." 

The 30-year-old was very vocal about her brother during the presidential elections when she chose President Obama over Mitt Romney because of his stance in same-sex marriage in support of her brother. Constantly, making headlines, the actress even shared about her very thin frame in which she lost 25-pounds for the  upcoming role in "Les Miserables" Hathaway admitted, "I had to be obsessive about it -- the idea was to look near death," Hathaway told Vogue magazine."Looking back on the whole experience -- and I don't judge it in any way -- it was definitely a little nuts. It was definitely a break with reality, but I think that's who Fantine is anyway." 

In order to maintain the frail look of the tuberculosis stricken prostitute she ate two thin squares of dried oatmeal paste everyday for almost two weeks. Not a healthy way to diet, the actress had to change her look from her slim but toned Catwoman character in the extreme sense so she could feel like her character as well. In the film Hathaway will show her strong vocal skill in addition to acting. The entire cast had to sing live while filming as they were accompanied by a piano that was playing behind scenes. The movie will not have pre-recorded music or vocals playing throughout the film, which will make it the most interesting film of the year.
