Apple throws a tantrum during war with Samsung . The multi-billion dollar company was ordered to reveal details of its patent deal with HTC along with six more products in its lawsuit with Samsung.
The South Korean company won the battle against Apple to share information on its patent deal with Samsung to show the documents that were titled "attorney-eyes-only" ordered by U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul Grewal. This outcome may prevent Apple from a lawsuit to a potential sales ban in the United States. The court documents said, "Many third parties to this case have had their licensing agreements disclosed subject to an attorneys-eyes-only designation because the confidential financial terms were clearly relevant to the dispute between Apple and Samsung. "
In addition to the patent, Apple is also asking for more. According to Reuters, Apple wants to add six more devices to the infringement lawsuits . In the court filing Apple said, "Apple has acted quickly and diligently to determine that these newly-released products do infringe many of the same claims already asserted by Apple." The six devices Apple is suing for are, Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Samsung Galaxy S 3, running the new Android "Jelly Bean" operating system, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 Wi-Fi, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, the Samsung Rugby Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S 3 Mini.
The two companies have been going back and forth with each other in lawsuits for some time now. On August 24th, Apple was awarded $1.05 billion in a jury verdict. According to Reuters, earlier this year, Samsung denied the accusations that Galaxy Nexus infringed eight of its patents and said that iPhone and iPad infringe eight of their patents.
