Local Coordination Committees of Syria  who are the opposition said that Syrian warplanes dropped bombs over a playground killing 10 children. A YouTube video went viral as it showed the devastating event. Two lifeless girls laid on the ground as adults run frantically looking for children and carrying limp children away from the blast sight.

The attacks were said to be made by the government against the rebels who took over a nearby military airport said Alexia Jade, a spokeswoman for the opposition-run Damascus Media Office. On Monday, 20 more people were killed in Syria which adds to the Syrian bloody war which adds to the 40,000 people that have been killed since the first protest erupted 20 months ago. Witness say the building did not appear damage after rockets landed several hundred meters away from the Free Syrian Army. Almost 400,000 Syrians have fled to neighboring countries such as Turkey and Lebanon to seek refuge from the civil war.

The government has restricted media outlets from reporting live from Syria after attacks on non-violent protesters became deadly. Turkey has turned its back on their former ally after the Syrian war had spilled over to their country. Turkey is asking for Patriot missiles for defense if necessary. The Turkish military said, "The deployment of the Air and Missile Defense System is a precaution for defensive purposes for possible air and missile threats from Syria, and is not for the establishment of a no fly zone or for offensive maneuvers."
