Heading into the NHL playoff season, ESPN.com reporter Scott Burnside ranked the "Super 16" teams earlier this month:
Capitals (5): "This team is why we didn't pick the Rangers to win it all. Happy days are here again in Washington, with Barry Trotz making believers of everyone, most of all his players."
Washington defeated the New York Islanders in the first bout of playoff games.
Rangers (1): "It is interesting that although the Rangers are the regular-season champions, earning their first Presidents' Trophy since 1994 (the last time they won a Stanley Cup), there isn't widespread support for them as a potential Cup winner. Still, this is one of the most complete teams in the tournament."
New York proved victorious against the Pittsburgh Penguins in that series earlier this month. Now this series is currently tied 1-1.
The game will be broadcasted live on local channels NBCS, TVA, and CBC, but fans can also listen in on the radio at WTOP, WFED, KTUI-FM, and ESPN NY.
