Bridget Jones's Diary
This is a good movie, you guys. You should watch it because your mom will love it and you'll get some enjoyment out of it. The adult humor might make for some awkward moments, but it's always special to get to laugh with your mom!
Phantom of the Opera
Movie adaptations of Broadway musicals aren't always great, and this one isn't exceptional, but Les Miserables is no longer streamable, so deal with it! Your mom loves this musical, trust us. You'll enjoy the overall dark themes and the iconic music, but mostly you'll have to deal with your mom tearing up at a crazed, deformed lunatic obsessing over a young girl.
Charade
Your mom probably already loves this romantic thriller for a few reasons: Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant. James Coburn is also pretty amazing in this, but this mystery film has so many romantic elements between its leading stars that there's no use trying to keep up with Grant's wit as your mom falls in love with him once again. This is actually one of the best films ever made and features some great comedy. You'll enjoy this as much as your mom does!
The Hustler
There's no denying Paul Newman's amazing sex appeal- at least not for a mother. The iconic actor is at his best in this 1961 film about a pool hall hustler has some pretty interesting movie elements for you to enjoy while your mom stares deep into Newman's cool blue eyes (even though it's in black and white).
The English Patient
We don't really mean to generalize in any way, but every mom loves this movie. The English Patient is long, depressing and very boring for those that are not into it, so we warn you now. Ralph Fiennes is pretty great in this movie, so you can enjoy his and his cast members' amazing performances, but get ready to feel awkward during all of the sex scenes. You might have to suffer through this one, but it's for your mother!
