Ready for Eminem's new Hollywood persona - "Rock God?"
Apparently, the Detroit emcee's ready to put his successful rap career on the backburner (for now). Instead, he'd rather focus on his bass guitar-playing skills...
What - what!?
Don't immediately believe the hype, but an alleged source supposedly revealed to the seedy gossip webloid ThyBlackMan.com:
"Over the past few years, Eminem has been really focused on becoming a great bass player. With many of his songs having heavy bass, he was naturally drawn to the sound. When he isn't working on Eminem projects, he spends hours practicing scales and taking pointers from his friends in the industry... He enjoys expressing himself through sound from time to time instead of having to come up with lyrics. In some ways it has become therapeutic for him."
Slim Shady's hard-hitting rhymes did always have a rock 'n' roll feel, but no - the MMLP2 superstar did NOT recently start a band deemed Detroit Riot! But still, this rumored "rep" explains that Shady will play bass on the upcoming record, and not provide any vocals.
Apparently, "The Monster" emcee's new group project includes a slew of up-and-coming (unidentified) musicians from "different metal bands from across the United States." The fresh rock tunes will still be released through Shady Records.
Unfortunately, such shocking (perhaps even cool?) details remain totally unconfirmed. The validity of this entire report is further debunked by this final statement:
DetRiot's new single "Rock Detroit" is now streaming exclusively on Itunes, and it's just as explosive as the candy the band is named after.
Not true, so don't believe the hype. But, hey - do MstarsNews sort of like the idea?
