One of the greater moments in Dante Fowler Jr.'s life probably came during the 2015 NFL Draft when he was picked third by the Jacksonville Jaguars. With a bright future ahead of him, the rookie's career with the Jags has sadly been postponed after suffering an ACL tear during the first hour of rookie minicamp. Team doctors expect Fowler to miss the entire 2015 season.

The tear took place after Fowler's left knee buckled during an 11-on-11 drill. During the play the defensive end was seen rolling from left to right on the ground. The only good news surrounding the injury was Fowler being able to put a little bit of weight on his leg.

Offensive tackle Watts Dantzler was engaged with Fowler during the play he went down. During the initial moment, Dantzler wasn't sure what happened.

"I really honestly have no idea," Dantzler said. "I was just kicking, got a punch on his shoulder, and he just went down. I don't really know exactly what happened. I feel terrible about it."

Fowler wasn't the only rookie to tear his ACL during minicamp. Less than 12-hours after the Jaguars Defensive End went down, Denver Bronco tight end Jeff Heuerman was carted off the minicamp field under the same conditions. According to those on the field, Heuerman went down during a special-teams drill.

Broncos coach Gary Kubiak was broken up by his tight end's ACL tear:

"I feel terrible for Jeff and this is an unfortunate situation," he said. "Jeff was going to be a big part of our team this year, and he's still going to be a big part of our team and organization in the future. He'll get well and be with us as part of this team throughout his rehabilitation."

Heuerman will also require surgery. It's unknown whether he'll be missing the entire season.
