Yesterday was Mother's Day, folks. And comedian John Oliver had a couple of things to say about it on Last Week Tonight. Actually, he really had a thing or two to say about Paid Family Leave –– or, well, lack there of. Oliver's below video discusses the fact that the United States is only one of two countries (in the entire world) that does not offer paid family leave to new mothers.
Which is why he's claiming that until we do something to fix this, the only message we should be allowed to give to mothers is a little Happy Mother's Day – now get back to work.
