Kate Gosselin TLC Mother's Day Special Addresses Accusations & Parenting Criticism

Kate Gosselin might have been the luckiest mom of all yesterday, as the mother to her eight kids not only had her kids make her breakfast but she also got to air her Kate Plus 8 Mother's Day special on TLC last night. The reality star got a well-deserved thank you from her kids as they took to the kitchen to give her a little present. While the cooking extravaganza played out onscreen, Kate also used the special as an opportunity to address the criticism on her parenting style that she often receives from the media, even addressing the accusations that her ex-husband Jon Gosselin threw out in court about Kate allegedly beating her kids.

In the clip that was posted by TLC, the kids cook Kate a breakfast of pancakes for the special day, and for daughter Mady, everything seems to have gone perfectly in the kitchen.

"She does so much for us, the least we could do is make her breakfast," Kate's oldest daughter explained during the episode.

According to Radar Online, Kate also used the opportunity from the special to address the criticism that she faces everyday in the media.

"I know the world is now watching me parent alone," the star admitted. "The criticism has been very harsh, the accusations have been insanely hurtful and absurd. But the bottom line is, I know I am doing the best for my children first and foremost. I'm always doing the best that I know how... have your opinions cause no one does everything right."
