Third Bangladeshi Blogger Hacked to Death [VIDEO]: Ananta Bijoy Das Attacked by 4 Masked Men

Bangladeshi blogger Ananta Bijoy Das was recently hacked to death by four masked men earlier this morning. It's being reported that this is the third blogger attacked, all of whom have been "critical of Islam," according to stories from CNN. The 32-year-old was killed leaving his home while heading to work. At that time, four masked men attacked him and proceeded "hacking him to death with cleavers and machetes." They then fled the scene.

Due to the time of day, there were very people were around to witness the murder, but police are reportedly interviewing several people who saw what happened.

While the murder is undoubtedly horrific and a terrible tragedy, what has police shaken is the fact that this is the third blogger this year to have been murdered. "It's one after another after another," said Imran Sarker, head of the Blogger and Online Activists Network of Bangladesh.

Sarker further stated that the fact of it being the same scenario over and over is "very troubling."

CNN reports that the reason for Das' murder was due to the online posts he wrote which leaned towards being considered "critical of Islam." His, as well as the past murders of bloggers Washiqur Rahman and Avijit Roy, were all done in the public eye.

Rahman was hacked by "two men with knives and meat cleavers," per the report, and Roy was murdered with machetes and knives while walking back from a book fair.
