Rock n' roller and avid Mitt Romney supporter Kid Rock recently told CNN in an interview that he really harbors no hard feelings against President Barack Obama's victory in the 2012 election. In fact, Kid Rock (real name, Robert James Ritchie) ran into the Prez following Romney's defeat, where Obama jokingly told the "American Cowboy" singer with a smile, "I'm still here." Kid Rock may have strongly opposed Obama's bid for reelection throughout the campaign, but insists that all that really matters is that people always uphold common, respected values - no matter what their political party association.

In the interview with CNN, Kid Rock explains, "It always stinks to lose at anything in life. But the beautiful thing about it, you know, is that I love this country and I think both men do, so you cross your fingers and try to move forward and hope for the best. You respect the office of the president of the United States, and the great thing is that in four years, we'll see what happens. It's tough to stand up for something you believe in, especially in my business. It's very easy to alienate a lot of fans and people, but if you don't stand for something you stand for nothing."

When Kid Rock happened to recently run into the President and First Lady Michelle Obama at the Kennedy Center Honors, he made it a point to tell Obama that there are definitely no hard feelings despite his supporting Romney. Kid Rock even reflected on how his son had met Obama when the "American Badass" star played during his inauguration back in 2008 - it was a very special and touching moment.

What Kid Rock and (unlikely) companion Sean Penn want people to truly realize is - "Don't let politics divide us as a country."
