'Bates Motel' Season 4 Spoilers: Is Freddie Highmore's Norman "Jealous" Of Dylan/Emma's Kiss?

Based on the Alfred Hitchcock suspense thriller, Psycho, the Season 3 finale of Bates Motel aired on A&E. In Season 4, will Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) become jealous over the blossoming relationship between Dylan (Max Thieriot) and Emma (Olivia Cooke), now that they shared their first kiss?

As we previously mentioned, after seeing how her family's life turned for the better without her, Bradley wanted to leave again, but this time around, Norman went with her. While Dylan and Emma are having their intimate moments, Norma now knows from Caleb that he saw Norman slip into a trance and become his split personality. Everything seemed to be pointing that "Norma" will come out again and someone in the cast will die.

During the season finale, Norman was just about to leave town with Bradley, until "Mother" wanted to speak with her. "Norma" came out, chased after Bradley, and bashed her head against he rocks. Norman snaps out of it, thinking it was his mother who killed Bradley. Meanwhile, Dylan illegally earned the money for Emma's much-needed lung transplant. They shared a kiss beforeEmma headed off to her surgery.

In an interview with Zap2it, co-showrunner Carlton Cuse reveals what's in store for the lovebirds, ""The question really is going to be what happens next,. Will the surgery be successful, and how will it change her life? The problem is lung transplants are incredibly tricky things. They're really important to the people who get them, but they also don't always work. Is it possible that she's cured, or does she have a brief window where things are a lot better and things will get worse? She doesn't know herself."

Cuse adds, "We really love the romance part of our show. I know it seems weird, perhaps, to be talking about romance in a show called Bates Motel,'but I think that's one of the very reasons it's special and different."

The question remains, will it be a tragic romance?
