According to pop songstress Rihanna, the "magical" connection she shares with R&B crooner Chris Brown is real, and something that not many other people can probably understand - maybe except for the late legend Whitney Houston and her ex-beau Bobby Brown. According to RiRi, she definitely has "Something in Common" with the "I Will Always Love You" star and her controversial, sometimes troubling romance with former lover Brown. While recently watching the popular 1993 music video featuring Houston and Brown, Rihanna turned to her pal and insisted, "That's the type of fun [Brown and I] are having right now" - and the "Diamonds" songstress is apparently enjoying every minute of it.
According to RiRi's friend who recently spoke to Hollywood Life, "She loves that old Whitney jam and knows that she and Chris have so much in common that just bonds them. They get each other just like Bobby and Whitney. You could see it's like real love with she and Chris - like ain't no bullshi**ng. The s**t is magical and it's real."
The source goes on to say - "Ri was watching Bobby and Whitney's 'Something In Common' video the other day and said, 'This is just like Chris and me. For real though, that's the type of fun we having right now. I love Whitney. She was my girl. Can't nobody do it better than her.'"
Apparently Brown agrees - and even takes his "magical connection" with Rihanna one controversial step further. The "Don't Wake Me Up" singer posted this message on his Instagram on Sunday, Dec. 2: "What would music today sound like if [Rihanna and I] didn't exist?" That's one profound statement that many fans don't necessarily agree with. One user commented with the harsh answer, "It would sound like real r&b."
But no matter what fans may think of Rihanna and Brown's controversial budding romance, it looks like the two Hollywood stars are in it together for the long-haul - for better or for worse.
So what do Mstarz readers think of RiRi's comparison - is Rihanna and Chris Brown's love reminiscent of the good times between Houston and Brown?
