Anderson Cooper has been left blind for two days after a work trip. The TV Journalist shared a picture of his eye on Instagram for all his fans to see saying, "Temporarily blinded last week while on assignment," the anchor added, "UV light bouncing off water. Much better now."
The "Anderson Live" host was shooting a segment on the coast Portugal when he received the scare. Anderson told his audience, "I wake up in the middle of the night and it feels like my eyes are on fire." The host continued, "It turns out I have sunburned my eyeballs and I go blind. I went blind for 36 hours." Referring to the Instagram picture, "I took this picture of me after I went to the hospital."
The scare didn't worry the handsome host who was ranked number 50 in the "50 Shades of Grey" for his silky gray hair. Anderson, embraced his new sailor look with a patch over his eye saying, "That's my new Match.com profile picture, by the way."
In October, the humble host announced that his show, "Anderson Live" had been cancelled, "I am very proud of the work that our terrific staff has put into launching and sustaining our show for two seasons. I am also grateful to [production company] Telepictures for giving me the opportunity, and indebted to viewers, who have responded so positively," he said in a statement, "I look forward to doing more great shows this season, and though I'm sorry we won¹t be continuing, I have truly enjoyed it."
