Looks like Bristol Palin and Dakota Meyer's May 23 wedding is off, if you ask Sarah Palin. MStars News has learned that the mother and former Republican vice president candidate revealed that her daughter will not be working down the aisle this upcoming weekend.
In a Facebook message to her followers, Sarah Palin wrote:
Bristol and Dakota couldn't be more thankful for the love and support of family and friends over the past months while preparing for their wedding. They have informed loved ones that unfortunately the announced celebration planned for May 23 will not be held. Many friends and family still look forward to getting together that day in Kentucky anyway - and the Palins and Meyers are happily looking forward to still being at "the old Kentucky home" on May 23 to celebrate life, in general! Family members and close friends know they are welcome to share a great bar-b-que on the farm that day. All involved, especially Dakota, Bristol and Tripp, and their parents and grandparents, thank supporters for the love they've expressed.
The statement continued:
And friends, please see Bristol's message clearing up rumors that tabloids salivate over:
"Regarding salacious headlines in recent days about "secret wives", Dakota and I discussed our past relationships prior to our engagement. Dakota was legally divorced years ago, as any good reporter could and should have disclosed to readers. As usual, false stories and dramatically written headlines begging controversy should be disregarded, and we have faith that our privacy will be respected at this time by those with decency. Thank you!" - Bristol

According to People, Meyer had married another woman, Cassandra Wain, back in May 2008, and didn't tell Bristol about his past marriage. But in the words of some of the Palin's Facebook followers, the shocking turn of events has everyone saying, "Who Cares!"
Jason Baker "Who cares! Hope a tornado hits the farm that day"
Frank Tempone "Who. cares."
Mick Burke "Good for you and them. A person of character would NEVER let their kid get married when they knew they shouldn't just to save themselves embarrassment."
Stephen Allen Kelley "For gosh sakes - who really cares. This isn't newsworthy and those interested are simply rumor hungry busy bodies."
Deb Krienke Gearman "that girl really needs to get her crap together...."
Bristol announced her engagement via Instagram back in March.

MStars News wants to know: Do you believe Palin is doing the right thing by calling off her wedding before hitting a rough patch in the future? Or are you like the commenters who simply don't care?
