Child star Taran Noah Smith has been convicted of driving drunk and drug possession after being arrested in February. The "Home Improvement" actor was stopped in Los Angeles and police believed he was under the influence and had been using marijuana. Smith was searched and they found him in possession of hash.
The child actor who is famous for playing Tim Allen's youngest son on "Home Improvement" from 1991 to 1999 at the age of 7. According to TMZ, Tuesday, the 28-year-old pleaded guilty to drug possession and he pleaded "no contest" to the DUI charge. The young actor was sentenced to a six-month drug diversion program, a 12-hour program for DUI and three years of probation.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Smith said, ''It was pretty exciting to leave it behind and do other things." Smith later sued his parents for money he made as a child actor in 2001, started a vegan food company and became an installation artist.
