A cargo ship, the Baltic Ace sinks off the coast of Belgium and the Netherlands after sailing from Zeebrugge. According to BBC, four men are dead and seven are missing out of the 24 crew members who were sailing the ice cold waters.

Coasts Guards made their attempts in the cold weather and high seas to search for the lost men. Two navy patrol ships and several helicopters equipped with infrared cameras joined in the night. Spokesman Peter Verburg said, "We have found life rafts, and the people in them are being picked up by helicopters."

The ship sank after colliding with the Cyprus-registered container ship, the Corvus J which was sailing from Scotland to the Belgian port of Antwerp. The Corvus J was severely damaged but not in danger of sinking, and all crew members remained on the ship. Unfortunately, the Baltic Ace that was carrying cars from Zeebrugge in Belgium to Kotka in Finland struck a much harder hit. When the ship sunk the 24 crew members abandoned ship and authorities weren't notified immediately when it happened.

Details are still unfolding.
