A bogus Twitter hoax has caused viral hysteria once again - this time involving rapper Eminem's teenage daughter Hailie Jade Mathers and pop country songstress Taylor Swift. According to reports, 16-year-old Mathers allegedly tweeted the 22-year-old starlet on Monday (Dec. 3), exclaiming that she better "stop whoring around" with the "love of her life" (referring to One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles). The fake Twitter account even sent out an official apology following the viral Swift rant! But now reports confirm that it wasn't young Mathers who sent out the harsh tweets, but an impersonator (who quickly disabled the bogus Twitter account and quickly dissolved into cyber world oblivion). It was pretty odd that the daughter of a controversial "bad boy" rapper would be a diehard fan of the pop-boy band 1D, anyway!
Check out the collection of bitter tweets sent out by the username @hailiejade_x on Monday evening:
@hailiejade_x: "If @taylorswift13 is really dating the love of my life @harry_styles i will not be happy!"
@hailiejade_x: "Dear @taylorswift13, please stop whoring around with every guy you see. We all know you're only doing it so you can make another album."
@hailiejade_x: "I, am never, ever, everrrrr, listening to your music againnnn @taylorswift13. LIKE EVER."
Mstarz first noted in its initial coverage of the "Mathers-Swift Twitter feud" that the tweets seemed a little iffy... especially since Slim Shady's daughter has been the object of many Twitter hoaxes in the past. Even so, the pics associated with the bogus (now deactivated) account closely resembled the rapper's kid, so many reports confirmed that it was indeed Hailie Jade who sent out the angry tweets.
But now E! News confirms the hoax - a rep for Eminem recently stepped forward to state that the "Twitter account from which the incendiary comment[s] came is not hers."
The bogus tweeter had everyone going for quite some time - before the impersonator officially deactived the account, he/she sent out this official "apology" to Swift and fans:
@hailiejade_x: "Wow, I didn't mean for people to react to my tweet in the way that they have it was just a bit of fun! Sorry @taylorswift13 for my immaturity. I believe I'm entitled to my own opinion, but that got out of control. I don't understand why there are 'news' articles written about it!"
But just so everyone understands, the real Hailie Mathers did not post the Swift-bashing tweets. The Twitter hoaxster has yet to be identified, and they probably never will be. For now, Marshall Mathers is probably just breathing a huge sigh of relief knowing that Harry Styles is the not the true love of his daughter's life.
