Josh Duggar Resigns From Family Research Council Following Child Molestation Drama

MStars News has learned that the eldest son of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, Josh Duggar has decided to resign from his job at the Family Research Council. We've been keeping up the 19 Kids and Counting star following allegations that he was involved in molestation multiple underage girls as a teen, years ago.

We previously reported that Josh apologized for his actions, as he claims he acted inexcusably.

"Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret. I hurt others, including my family and close friends," The 27-year-old said. "I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation. We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing, and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling. I understood that if I continued down this wrong road that I would end up ruining my life."

Josh's family stood behind him, as he decided to resign.

After receiving Josh's resignation letter, the FRC's statement read as follows: "Today Josh Duggar made the decision to resign his position as a result of previously unknown information becoming public concerning events that occurred during his teenage years. Josh believes that the situation will make it difficult for him to be effective in his current work. We believe this is the best decision for Josh and his family at this time. We will be praying for everyone involved."

In the snapshot below, it appears that the family has moved on from the past issue, and are still filming their reality TV show.

Liz Webb "This is so sick. No one is talking about how these poor girls feel or what they're going through! I can't believe the parents would allow this in their home and allow their own children to be violated for the sake of a show try to cover it up until the statue of limitations is too far gone to where he can just walk free now. So disgusting and terrible. There should be no limitations on child molestations. Also funny how homosexuality and gay marriage is an abomination but molesting young girls who which "some" we're your sisters is ok and God can forgive and you can be healed. Such a load of crap!!!!! The duggar parents and josh should be ashamed and everyone who tried to cover this up for the sake of a big paycheck are the abomination."
