Jason DeJesus and Chanelle Troedson managed to hold their 50-year-old handy man hostage and beat him until he fixed some things around the home. The handyman was lured into a 4,600-square-foot home and held for 6 hours.

According to CBS 5, Sgt. Jose Cardoza of the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office  said, "He was assaulted, he was threatened with his life, and he was forced to do some work at the house."

Allegedly the couple threatened to kill the handyman while forcing him to repair the dishwasher and broken door. Cardoza said, "The victim was pretty terrified. He was pretty shaken up and scared by this whole incident." He added,"What he did tell investigators is that he was just trying to do what he was being told, wait for the opportunity to escape."

The deranged couple later put the handyman in their car, heading to their relatives house to do more repairs. When the couple pulled over at a gas station, the captured escaped and reported the kidnapping to authorities.

According to Investigators, the handyman did repairs for the De Jesus' mother, "The work wasn't performed to the likes of the suspect's relative at the time, and on top of that there was dispute over services rendered, the victim wasn't paid entirely. That kind of boiled over into what occurred last night," Cardoza said.

According to CBS the couple are facing  false imprisonment, kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats, and conspiracy.
