Kris Jenner Trademarks ‘Momager’ Title When Doing Business for 'KUWTK' Family

The Kardashian clan might be the best at branding. Nobody in the limelight has had their name plastered against something more than this family has. This is why when Kris Jenner announced she was trademarking the term "momager," it wasn't just a cutesy name she has taken control of. Now, the likes of Dina Lohan and Tina Knowles can't use that term publicly because it belongs to Jenner. If they do then they'll have to pay a good amount of money for its use.

Jenner currently uses the word "momager" in her reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Trademarking it is a good idea because the show has so much reach, somebody was bound to pick up on it and use it. Right now the "momager" represents her children Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Rob, Kendall and Kylie.

As of now, Kris might strictly be "momager." Earlier in the month, Bruce Jenner fired his ex-wife as manager. According to Bruce, she was too controlling, and after their split he doesn't feel the need to have her looming over his head the way that she has.

"Kris is as you see on the show – bossy, nosey and controlling. She didn't want to relinquish control because it makes it harder for her to sort out fees for Keeping Up With The Kardashians," Jenner said.

Their storied relationship gets a bit tackier after Jenner fired his wife. Apparently Kris wanted Bruce to release a statement saying he "appreciated" his ex-wife. She also went on to say that he owed it to her because she was the mother of his two children. Bruce didn't think it was necessary and never went through with it. Now with Bruce out of the managerial picture she is officially a full-on "momager."
