The latest round of WWE rumors deals with Brock Lesnar's return, Rusev's injury, Seth Rollins' finisher, and more appearances by Arrow star Stephen Amell. As always, these are just rumors, so please treat them as such.
The Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis tweeted this morning that Brock Lesnar has been added to Monday Night Raw on June 22. This is the Raw that takes place eight days after the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. We haven't seen Lesnar since the night after WrestleMania 31 when he destroyed everything in sight, including Michael Cole.
If you've read spoilers for Thursday Night SmackDown this week, then you likely already heard rumblings that Rusev was injured during his match with Ryback, which ended rather abruptly when Rusev shoved Ryback into the ring post. Now, a photo has been circulating around social media that shows Rusev in a wheelchair, and it appears as though he actually has hurt his ankle. You can check it out here.
There's no word yet on the severity of the injury but, if it's a real problem, then WWE would have to replace him inside the Elimination Chamber for the Intercontinental Championship match that also features Dolph Ziggler, King Barrett, Sheamus, Ryback, and R-Truth. Rumor is Bray Wyatt is being considered to replace him if the need arises.
Here's what WWE.com had to say about the injury:
"Rusev is currently being evaluated for a lower leg injury, WWE.com has learned. The Bulgarian Brute suffered the injury Tuesday night during the SmackDown tapings in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Stick with WWE.com for more updates on Rusev's condition as they become available."
Seth Rollins has confirmed that the Curb Stomp is no longer his finisher, as it has been replaced with the Pedigree. "Yeah, it's gone. Sorry," Rollins said at a Q&A session in Wizard World St. Louis. "But, hey, never say never, you never know. But for now, for an extended period of time, the Pedigree will be the finisher moving forward."
Finally, Stardust got into it with Arrow star and WWE fan Stephen Amell during the latest episode of Raw, and The Wrestling Observer is now reporting that this may not have been just a one-time appearance. Amell has been campaigning to host Raw for a while, and the Observer reports that some planning went into his recent appearance. The report states WWE is hoping to culminate a feud between the two at SummerSlam.
