The TLC show 19 Kids and Counting has essentially imploded since allegations of child molestation have run rampant around Josh Duggar's camp. Things haven't gotten any better for the show as Hulu pulled it from its service. This comes just one week after TLC removed all the episodes from their website and channel.
A Hulu representative gave a simple explanation as to what happened.
"It expired from our service," Mike Hopkins said. "We're partners. We license the show from them. And of course, as you know, they took it off of their platforms, so we did the same."
Last week TLC released a statement saying they had pulled all episodes of 19 Kids and Counting. In the statement they also offered condolences to the family affected by this.
"TLC has pulled all episodes of 19 Kids and Counting currently from the air," said the network in a statement. "We are deeply saddened and troubled by this heartbreaking situation, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family and victims at this difficult time."
While the show may be finished, not every character on it will be affected. A spin-off may be in the works and it'll center on Jill and her new husband Derick Dillard. It's no surpise that both Jill and Derick are set to have their own show. The couple's wedding amassed huge ratings for TLC last October.
This is one piece of good news coming from the world of 19 Kids and Counting. There hasn't been a lot of that going around lately, especially since advertiser after advertiser has been leaving the show left and right.
Companies such as Choice Hotels, Pure Life Iced Tea, Walmart, CVS, Payless, and David's Bridal have all jumped ship. Even H&R Block is done with them.
