The season finale ofThe Flash aired on the CW network. In the upcoming Season 2 of The Flash, will Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), will end up fighting his true friend, Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) as her dark side takes over and she becomes the super villain Killer Frost?

In our finale recap, Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanagh) revealed to Barry that when he time-traveled to the past, he lost his Speed Force. To get back to his own timeline, Eobard forced events to happen, such as Barry getting struck by lightning and Cisco's metahuman powers. Eobard tells Cisco that there is a great destiny awaiting for him.

When The Flash slipped into the time-stream, racing across the Speed Force, he witnessed events from the past, present, and future. Not only did Barry discover The Flash museum, he also saw himself as a teenager visiting his father in prison. He also witnessed a possible enemy in costume.

As we previously mentioned, the Friday the 13th scream queen is interested in playing a character with "so many different emotions." With the Killer Frost costume already made, Panabaker adds, "Yes - from the beginning I knew that Caitlin Snow becomes Killer Frost. And I can't wait to suit up and duke it out with the boys!"

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg teases what could happen in the upcoming season, "Yeah, now that people have seen the finale, there were some things we're letting happen faster than people are expecting and there are other things we're slow playing. That's the fun for us as writers, but hopefully for the audience too, that especially with characters like Caitlin and Cisco (Carlos Valdes), there is a certain level of expectation after we very specifically gave them the names we gave them and how that's going to turn out."

Kriesberg adds, "You've got Wells telling Cisco that he was affected, but when we saw in the speed force, we saw Caitlin really and truly affected. Whether that happens next year or the year after that, we'll have to wait and see what the speed force tells us to do."

Reruns of The Flash from season one currently air on the CW.
