How amazing is sleep? Let's take some time to think about it. Done? Okay, great. Now, let's try and remember the last time we had a peaceful night's sleep. Sadly, it may have been a while ago. You see, it seems that there are many things stopping us from being able to sleep at night and get the correct amount of snooze-time we need in order to be our peppy, upbeat selves the very next day. Or, well, a less grouchy and tired version of ourselves the next day. And while there are a number of things stopping us from getting that sleep we need, MStars News has put together the top three things keeping people up at night.
The Huffington Post recently compiled a list of things people complain about that get in the way of their sleep. And while there seems to be a lot, let's take a look at just a few:
3. Netflix
Oh, binge-watching – we love you. Sadly, you're keeping us from attaining the necessary sleep that stops us from being a whirlwind of chaos and anger the next day.
It's true, folks. Netflix is amazing, but stop watching it before you go to bed or you'll be nothing but irritable the next day.
2. Snoring
Perhaps this is an advantage to being single—you're really never woken up by a snorer. But then again, if it's on the list it means that many people are indeed waking up next to them. So, for this moment, single people rejoice, because you've got it made.
1. Our Brains
Whether it be worry, doubt, fear, excitement, etc., our brains are the No. 1 thing (in our opinion) keeping us from sleeping at night.
