'Infinite Crisis' Shutting Down Summer 2015: DC Comics Superhero MOBA Gameplay Dead Months After Release

The next generation, free to play multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game, Infinite Crisis is officially shutting down in August of 2015, just months after its March release date. Based on the DC Universe's superheroes from popular comic books including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and many more, the title will remain open to play until the August 14, 2015 closing date. "After much deliberation, we regret to announce the official shutdown of Infinite Crisis," a post on the news section of the game's official website stated, along with the game's steam page, according to IGN. "We will end development efforts today and will close the service on August 14, 2015. Between now and August 14th, the game will remain available to play completely free."

Those with questions were directed to a customer support page.

"This was an extremely difficult decision to make," the update continued. "On behalf of the entire Infinite Crisis team we want to thank all of you for your feedback, support and for joining together to create one of the best communities in gaming."
