WWE will present the June 3, 2015 edition of NXT from Full Sail University on the WWE Network tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern, and things are certainly getting interesting between NXT Champion Kevin Owens and recent arrival Samoa Joe.
The show will air on the WWE Network, but if you can't watch there, then you can try here or here, both of which broadcast free live streams of the show (this may require downloading a torrent).
Initial reports said Samoa Joe had signed a part-time deal with WWE, but now it seems that the star of the independent scene has given a full commitment to the company. If you haven't heard the details, here's the report from PWTorch:
"Trusted insider sources tell PWTorch columnist Sean Radican that Samoa Joe has signed a full-time contract with WWE. His merchandise sales were so off-the-charts impressive, Vince McMahon and Triple H pushed to get him signed to a full-time deal right away.
Obviously, he impressed everyone at the latest NXT TV tapings. He will fulfill his scheduled independent dates, but otherwise will be worked into the WWE schedule full-time, either starting in NXT or shifting quickly to the WWE main roster.
One of the independent dates that Joe will be finishing up is with AIW, who just announced Joe for their "Absolution" show on July 10 in Cleveland, Ohio.
PWTorch has learned that the deal was completed last week, which then led to Joe traveling to Texas to wrestle a dark match at the Raw TV taping Monday in San Antonio."
How will this change the plans for Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens going forward? Last week, Samoa Joe came out at the end of the show to attack Owens and declare that he wants the champion's top spot. But now that Joe is on board full time, will the two engage in a lengthier program? And where does Sami Zayn factor into all this? Does he get a call up to the main roster, or does he get another chance to take his title back?
We haven't even mentioned Finn Balor yet. The No. 1 Contender to the NXT Championship took out Tye Dillinger last week, but it feels a bit like he's in a holding pattern while Samoa Joe and the champ duke it out. Could we be on the way to a Triple Threat match featuring these three combatants? Or will Balor get a proper one-on-one shot at the belt?
Alexa Bliss promised to send Carmella back to the trash can this week, so expect a fight between the two women. Can the Princess of Staten Island overcome the NXT Tag Team Champions' new running buddy?
Elsewhere, Jason Jordan has a new tag team partner in Chad Gable. Will the two debut as a team tonight?
Finally, Emma and Dana Brooke don't seem to be done with Bayley and Charlotte, so how will these four women interact tonight?
As always, check back with MStars immediately after the show for a full recap of all the action. But for now, let us know your thoughts, opinions, guesses, and predictions for tonight's show in the comments section.
