It looks like Kim Kardashian is already experiencing morning sickness in her second pregnancy. After announcing that she and Kanye West were indeed pregnant with baby number 2, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is excited, but admits that she has been sick while carrying this baby.
"I have the worst morning sickness, day sickness, night sickness," she revealed to People at the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards earlier this week. One insider close to Kim added, "this pregnancy is very different because she's sick all the time. She's very nauseous and very tired."
The couple used IVF treatments, a.k.a. in vitro fertilization, to help conceive another child. It's been a roller coaster ride for Kim this time around as she used the help of her fertility doctors and the treatments with hormones for months, conceiving while using IVF with her natural cycle without the hormones the last month she and her husband tried.
There have been rumors that the West's are expecting twins, but a source claims those stories are false. So what did Kim have to go through in order to become a mom once again?
While delivering her daughter, North West, who will turn 2 years old this month, the reality star experienced complications during labor and delivery. She had preeclampsia, "a potentially dangerous condition in which a woman's blood pressure skyrockets during pregnancy, as well as placenta accreta, where blood vessels from the placenta grow into the uterine wall and remain attached."
"Kim also had three surgeries to repair her uterus," a source close to the family also revealed. "The inner lining had been so damaged that she was told conceiving on her own wasn't possible."
Kim revealed her struggles with getting pregnant to her fans on the E! hit show, Keeping up With the Kardashians.
Now with all the illness with her second child, Kim is trying to get some rest before she delivers her child sometime in December.
"She's trying to rest and doing what she can to not get preeclampsia again, but there's a chance she might," an insider claims. An OB/GYN, Dr. Lisa Masterson that hasn't personally treated Kim added her two cents, explaining, "[Her condition] does tend to repeat itself. The best thing she could do is just be healthy - eat right and exercise."
Kim says that she's just thankful to be pregnant once again. "I'm so grateful to even be pregnant when we didn't think it would ever happen for us," she said. "It is so worth it!"
