According to new reports, speculation around an Obi-Wan Kenobi movie franchise has popped up again, with Ewan McGregor allegedly in talks to reprise his Jedi role! The rumored series of movies could be set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, focusing on Kenobi guarding over the infant Luke Skywalker as he becomes a young man. (via Slash Film). Is this a storyline you'd like to see in theaters?
This isn't the first time we've heard this rumor, but we're pretty excited that it's come up again! We previously reported that an Obi-Wan franchise might be in the works, with the possibility of McGregor reprising his role.
If these rumors are true, we know that McGregor would be game for returning as Kenobi. In a 2013 interview with MTV News, the Scottish actor shared his excitement over possibly coming back to the role (via MTV):

Maybe the coolest rumor involved in this larger speculation is that we might see a return of Darth Maul, who Kenobi supposedly killed in The Phantom Menace.

According to Nerdist, these new films will take the lead from The Clone Wars animated series, which revealed Maul had survived being cut in half by Kenobi. Clearly, Maul would be looking for revenge on Kenobi, making for a great showdown on the big screen (via UPROXX).
