A Lancashire man collapsed in front of his wife and co-workers after dancing to Psy's hit viral tune "Gangnam Style" at a holiday office party on Saturday (Dec. 8) - 46-year-old Eamonn Kilbride was later pronounced dead from a heart attack. Reports confirm that the father-of-three was trying to impress his fellow colleagues by busting out the vigorous, horse-ridding dance moves made infamous by the 34-year-old K-pop sensation when he suddenly began feeling chest pains. Kilbride then unexpectedly fell to the ground, unresponsive. His wife Julie attempted to revive him with CPR before paramedics arrived, but to no avail.

Medics arrived promptly five minutes after the initial 911 call was made - Kilbride's shocked colleagues from the Thwaites brewery in Blackburn looked on as they attempted to revive the "life of the party" Irishman. Kilbride was quickly transported to the local Royal Blackburn Hospital and was pronounced dead at approximately 11:30 p.m.

Kilbride's wife Julie attended the work Christmas party event at the Whitehall Hotel in Darwen, Lancashire with her husband as a celebration for her 30th birthday. Julie recently released a touching statement, describing her husband of 23-years as a superb family guy who was an energetic Liverpool sports fan and loving friend:

"I want people to know how he would help anybody whether it was a life-long friend, or someone he had just met... He was a great family man and he worked so hard. Eamonn was always the life of the party and loved dancing."

Julie continues with:

"We were having a fantastic time at the Christmas party and Eamonn had just finished dancing to Gangnam Style. He was up on stage and entertaining everybody. He said he had a bit of a pain and just collapsed. I tried to revive him until the ambulance got there, but by the time he got to the hospital he was gone... Eamonn was such an intelligent man, he inspired our children and made sure they had a good education."

Kilbride - who moved to Burnley from Ireland in 1985 - leaves behind his wife and three children who all attend University: Laurajade (22), Jack (21), and Conor (18).

Following the "Gangnam Style" tragedy, the Telegraph reached out to Professor Bernard Keavney, a consultant cardiologist at Newcastle University, who said that men should not "stray outside [of their] comfort zone" at Christmas parties:

"The chance that you'll come to grief is very small. But as with any form of untypical exercise that you're not used to taking, be somewhat measured. Let the lady dance around you. I certainly wouldn't say that people need to avoid Gangnam Style over the holidays. [But] if you're unused to taking vigorous physical exercise, you shouldn't throw yourself into violent exertion without due preparation."
