Singer Taylor Swift is celebrating her birthday in a special way as she turns 23, Dec. 13. She has been spotted touring the rural northern England with the One Direction singer Harry Styles.
The couple had their dinner in the open with fire lit up at a country pub. They toured the Lake District and picked up classic children's souvenirs, the People reported.
While on Dec. 11, they were reportedly spotted in the Peak District that is about 170 miles north of London. They spent time at the Rising Sun pub in Hope Valley and had "traditional English food" said Sarah Walker, the manager at the pub. The couple were joined by two other friends of their age, according to People. They were seen being seated next to fire and ordered a round of soft drinks.
"She was polite and pleasant - fantastic," said Walker. "She is just having a nice tour of England. They were like any typical group of people having dinner. Everyone thinks they are a couple, but to be honest, we had no sense of that at all."
Walker also added that Swift said she "loved" being in Britain and was all "excited about her birthday."
The next day they were spotted further north in Lake District. They stopped at Bowness, a tourist spot, where they went to World of Beatrix Potter to visit the store. Swift reportedly brought some soft toys and were "nice and charming" to the workers, Andy Poole, chief executive said.
"Taylor introduced herself - she was really lovely. She said they were just here for the day and I think they were there with his parents. She had a lot of bags from Beatrix Potter World. I saw some cuddly toys poking out of the top of the bag," said Claire Dibbs, store manager, Pandora jewellery shop, Mirror reported.
"They'd done a lot of shopping. Taylor said she loved the area and said it was really pretty."
Swift and Styles met in April for the first time when One Direction was on their American tour.
Swift got a Golden Globe nomination for "Safe & Sound" that appeared on "The Hunger Games" soundtrack. She also released her twenty third video for "I Knew You Were Trouble" coinciding with her birthday.
She Tweeted, "Best birthday surprise EVER-just found out that Safe&Sound is nominated for a GOLDEN GLOBE!! Thank you @goldenglobes and HFPA! #hungergames."
