Taylor Swift 'Cheated' on Harry Styles with Conor Kennedy before 'Haylor' Romance? One Direction Star Intrigued by Songstress' Denial

Rumors that pop-country songstress Taylor Swift ditched her summer fling Conor Kennedy for One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles are apparently totally false - it's actually the total opposite way around! According to recent reports, 18-year-old Styles attempted to romance the 23-year-old "Red" songstress before things got serious between her and Kennedy - the duo even supposedly went on a few dates prior to the Kennedy romance. Instead of feeling rejected, Styles was intrigued by Swift's initial denial - right when the songstress became single again, the 1Der made his move. That's when Haylor was official born!

An inside source reveals to Look magazine, "They had a couple of dates back when they met, but the timing wasn't right. They were busy with work, then Taylor met Conor Kennedy and fell hard for him. But she and Harry stayed in touch throughout the summer."

So was Kennedy's three-month relationship just another minor speed-bump in Swift's lengthy list of Hollywood flings - and is Styles now the real deal? According to the Look insider, Styles has had his eye on Swift for months:

"As soon as Harry found out Taylor was single again, he went after her. Dating has always been a bit of a cat and mouse game for him, and he's never really had a girl say no to him before. When Taylor started dating Conor so soon after their dates, it made Harry realise how much he likes her."

Swift really knows how to make the guys jealous and swoon!

The source continues to explain why Haylor makes the perfect couple:

"Both he and Taylor are very easy-going people and they have incredible chemistry. They have loads in common and talk about music endlessly - Harry thinks Taylor's music is brilliant and has been asking for songwriting tips. Plus they both love Scrabble... Harry's a combination of the best part of her exes. He has the charm of John Mayer, the sensitivity of Jake Gyllenhaal and the boyish good looks of Conor."
