Olympic gold medalist Alpine skier, Bode Miller hits his wife, Morgan Beck in the eye with a tee shot while playing golf Wednesday. The beautiful volleyball athlete may require more than 50 stitches, but no permanent damage.
Miller felt horrible for his unintentional hit and went on twitter to express himself saying, "Hit wife w golfball. #worstfeelingever." Although handicapped with only one eye, his wife tweeted some words to help settle her husbands guilt, "I'm not feeling so hot. Line drive to the face today with a golf ball from my darling husband. I still love [Miller]."
Fortunately, Beck was wearing glasses that protected her from the "160 mph golf ball" leaving her with a gash and a black eye, but Miler praised the manufacturer of the sunglasses saying, "Thanks @Kaenon for saving my wifes eye. An amazing lense and frame to take a 160mph line drive direct hit and not shatter. #highquality."
A representative of the sunglasses company sent out well wishes and were pleased to hear that her glasses protected her,"While accidents like this are rare, it was for this exact reason that we set out to create the SR-91 polarized lenses we did," the rep told TMZ Added, "Our thoughts and best wishes for a full and speedy recovery go out to Morgan and can't wait to see her blocking shots at the net again real soon."
Maybe an endorsement will come out of her black eye.
