Speaking with IGN ahead of the second episode of the third season, Fuller opened up about his approach to writing the premiere episode, "Antipasto," focusing on Bedilia and Hannibal instead of any other main character from the previous seasons.

"It felt like we left season two with Bedelia and Hannibal and it felt organic to stay with them and their point of view into the first episode because they may not know who survived that night," Fuller explained. "They fled the country so they wouldn't necessarily be privy to all of the chips and where they fell. And it felt like it would be organic for them, given the trauma, and Hannibal's feelings of betrayal at the hands of Will Graham, that Bedelia would be there to help facilitate Hannibal dealing with that. It didn't even seem like a risky choice."

Though we have plenty to look forward to in 2015, Fuller is already teasing fans about next year's season and the possibilities he sees.

"There's some stuff that I'm looking at for season four that is as radical a departure from the novels as we've made yet," the executive producer shared. "It shares a lot of DNA with what happened in the books in a way that is hard to communicate without just giving it away."
