Ariana Grande is saying goodbye to Big Sean and hello to the single life. While the songstress and the rap star only dated for a short amount of time, the singer has expressed that being without a man has completely changed her lifestyle. Grande and Sean caused the dating rumor mill to go into overdrive last year, when they sparked reports that they were hooking up following him calling off his engagement to Naya Rivera. However, while the couple may have only dated for about a year, Grande used the breakup as a platform to talk about women empowerment.
According to E! News, earlier this week Grande explained in a lengthy essay that she doesn't need a man to complete here, nor does she want one at the given moment.
The star took to her Twitter account to write the lengthy post addressing both the breakup and why she no longer wants to be referred to as Big Sean's ex.

"What I meant when I said what I said about not being Sean's ex is that I am tired of living in a world where women are mostly referred to as a man's past, present or future PROPERTY/POSSESSION," the "Love me Harder" singer wrote. "I... do not. Belong. To anyone. But myself. And neither do you."
On top of that, she also reveals that she no longer allows interviewers to ask her about boys during her Q&A's, as she feels that she has more important topics to focus on.
Ariana has also explained that she doesn't need a guy to complete, as she is realizing for the first time that she completes herself.
"I'm saying this after literally 7 years of feeling like I constantly had to have a boy by my side. After being on my own now for a few months, I am realizing that that's just not the case," the star explained in the tweet. "I have never felt more present, grounded, and satisfied."
You go girl!
