"The X Factor's" Simon Cowell has found a replacement to fill in for the exit of L.A. Reid.

L.A. Reid's replacement from Simon Cowell's "The X Factor" next season could be pop star and diva Rihanna, The Sun reported.

The report  said Cowell is keen on  Rihanna to be the judge for next season's "The X Factor." He will be giving her a choice between "The X Factor" U.S. or UK.

A source told The Sun, "Simon is a huge admirer of Rihanna and knows she's star quality."

"As well as bringing an aura to the panel thanks to her current standing in music, she is also feisty and will make great TV. Simon loves these sort of characters."

According to reports, both the U.S. or UK "The X Factor" are not doing well in their ratings. Cowell might as well have a "crisis summit" mid January to steer the show back to its past glory, the Guardian reported.

Last week, the UK show's finale was viewed by 11 million viewers. A n ew low for the show - it was the least watched finale of all seasons.

"There is not one element we will not be looking at carefully -- from judges and start times to auditions and glitzy productions," said Richard Holloway, executive producer, the Guardian reported.

There are also reports suggesting that Cowell also wants Rihanna's boyfriend and singer, Chris Brown, but a spokesperson for Cowell denied Brown was in consideration.

If Rihanna joins the U.S. version of the competition, it will make an interesting mix with judges Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and Cowell.
