Jason Alexander is officially taking over for Larry David in his hit Broadway play Fish in the Dark. And while it seems that nearly everyone has seen the production, there's one person who hasn't: Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon. Which is exactly why the Seinfeld star and mind behind the show yelled at Fallon during last night's episode of the NBC series. The appearances comes after Alexander "slammed" Heidi Swedberg – who played George Costanza's fiancé, Susan Ross, on the series – on The Howard Stern Show, saying that she was difficult to work with. Yet, shockingly enough, it was blown out of proportion.
Anyway, back to the yelling...
Okay, maybe they didn't yell, but they were disappointed. Which is always worse, isn't it? Alright, fine; they didn't care at all.
Fallon began the segment by stating how David has broken numerous records with the play. But of course, that doesn't mean he's seen it:
"I noticed, I never saw you backstage," David said to Fallon, who claimed that he doesn't do backstage. Of course, that only made David exclaim, "I don't think you did front-stage!"
So, why hasn't Fallon seen the show? Apparently he's a very busy man. Which, well, is totally true. Though it didn't stop David from getting in one more stab. "Believe me, I'm not watching this thing every night!"
