As the year 2012 comes to a close, Wiz Khalifa, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean and Mac Miller have earned a place in Forbes magazine's "30 Under 30" list.
The "30 Under 30" list is an annual list released by Forbes that names the most successful "young disruptors, innovators and entrepreneurs" who are below 30 years and have done well in the year. This year has included Hip Hop artists who are ranked high, Hip Hop DX reported. Hip Hop section included rappers Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller, Drake, Kendrick Lamar and singer Frank Ocean and even Rihanna made it to this list.
"Fueled by the success of the single 'Black and Yellow,' the 25-year-old rapper raked in $20 million over the past two years, twice landing on Forbes' Hip-Hop Cash Kings list," Forbes reported on Khalifa.
"My flow's so sick you might want to absorb this. Best believe every year young Khalifa gonna make that Forbes list," said Khalifa to Forbes.
"Wiz is a movement in himself, with incredibly loyal fans," said Cameron Strang, CEO of Warner/Chappell Music and head of West Coast operations for WMG. "He has a complete creative vision for all the different aspects of his career, central to which is his incredible music."
The report also noted that much of movement around Khalifa centred on him being a hardcore marijuana smoker. He was even given "Stoner of the Year" award by High Times. He also said that Marijuana was a part of his personality.
Other music artists who were part of the list included Adele, Avicii, Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, One Direction Justin Bieber and others.
