Christina Aguilera, Scarlett Johansson, and Mila Kunis' hacker was convicted and sentenced to 10 years in prison for hacking onto their personal online accounts.
Christopher Chaney was sentenced by U.S. District Judge S. James Otero in Los Angeles shortly after listening to Johansson's tearful videotaped statement. The actress was distraught to learn that her picture that she had taken by herself for her then husband, Ryan Reynolds leaked onto the web.
The 35-year-old convict pleaded guilty to charges and wiretapping counts. In addition to attacking celebrities, Chaney also targeted his co-workers, sending an explicit photo to one of the women's father. One of his former co-worker claims to be suffering anxiety and panic attacks; as the other says to be damaged by attacks and claims to suffer from depression and paranoia.
The singer's email was hacked by Chaney from the account of her stylist Simone Harouche to Aguilera asking for pictures. In a statement Aguilera said, "That feeling of security can never be given back and there is no compensation that can restore the feeling one has from such a large invasion of privacy."
Chaney had targeted 50 people in the industry between November 2010 to October 2011.
